Join the Calgary Wildcats Football Association Board of Directors

Dear Wildcat Member:

As a parent of a child playing for a team operated by the Calgary Wildcats Football Association, or as a coach of a team, you are member of the Calgary Wildcats Football Association.

All Wildcat football teams (now comprising approximately 10 teams) are operated by the Board of Directors of the Calgary Wildcats Football Association.  The Board of Directors is comprised of up to 15 persons of a variety of skills and abilities.  Some of the directors are closely associated with the on-field football side of our operations, while others assist in administrative operations.  All directors are volunteers.

The Board of Directors plays a key role in the ability of the Wildcats to operate its football teams.  The Board of directors is an “operating board”, meaning it has a hands-on approach to running the Association. Each director is responsible for a portfolio, including fundraising, player registration, finance, player development etc.… In many cases directors do not work alone but will have other directors/non-director volunteers assisting them in their portfolio.

Typically, the Board of Directors has 12 members.  Due to a number of directors retiring from the Board, and a decision to expand the Board to 15 members, we are now recruiting new directors to join the Board.  This is an opportunity for you to play a direct role in shaping the experience of the players and future of the organization.  Joining the Board of Directors satisfies all volunteer and fundraising responsibilities.
